The Rams consider Donnie Avery one of two or three fastest receivers available in this draft.
So the team jumped at the chance to get him with the second pick of the second round. After no receivers went in the first, the Rams had their pick of the whole board at that position.
“This guy is electric,” Scott Linehan said. “He can really play.”
The Rams see him as their slot receiver to start the season. He will play some wideout as well — and he could return kickoffs, too.
